Letter from Fr. Robert Young, OFM - April 2015

Dear friends in the Will of God,

Greetings from Corato, Italy, the home of Luisa Piccarreta.

The Fourth International Conference on the life and writings of Luisa Piccarreta concluded yesterday with a Mass celebrated by the Archbishop, Giovan Battista Picchierri, 35 priests and 650 participants.  The joy was so great in sharing the gift of these days together to celebrate Luisa's 150th birthday, to pray, and to learn.

Perhaps the greatest joy was to see that Luisa is now so accepted in the Church, with the retired Cardinal of the congregation of the Saints and 3 other Bishops participating.
The Critical edition of Luisa's writings is now well under way for  3 years with 8 volumes of the Diary completed.   It will take time, but the good news is that it is the wish of the Holy See (Vatican congregations) that the work be concluded as quickly as possible so that the writings can be available to those who want them. You were all included in my Masses and prayers these days, and I am eternally grateful for your prayers and the good wishes you sent. I will give a more in-depth report on the Conference when I return to the US and share with you on my next program.   May the Divine Will reign more and more in our hearts and lives, and may It reign on earth, through us, as in heaven.

Blessings and prayers in the Eternal Fiat,

Fr. Robert Young, OFM
